Rebecca Robitaille – Steven Schott
Rebecca Robitaille
Steve, I didn’t believe that any of this was real and I called your phone. There was no answer and I called Tannen and he told me about everything. I saw something on facebook about a fundraiser and figured it was you doing something nice for others-not realizing that you were fighting a battle of your own. You were always a person to offer assistance to others and never ask for anything. I admired you so much for being one of the hardest workers I know. I will never forget the time you approached me at fedex with the sharkfest flier and I thought this guy is crazy-he wants to swim from Alcatraz to improve his swim in triathalons. We had so much fun doing those races and I thank you for inspiring me to do so. I guess our next races together will be in heaven. Until we meet again. I love you Steve. Rebecca

RIP Steve – Go Steelers
It was very funny the way Steve and I first met in Boulder, CO. I worked the pm shift for FedEx and Steve had just arrived that day at FNL station for his first day at the new location. I was working in the morning for Boulder-Denver couriers and VeloNews and driving the document shuttle to DIA at night for FedEx. I was on my road bike at the corner of Canyon@Broadway when I heard someone say “Nice fat”. I turned and saw a smiling Steve in a FedEx van eyeballing me and my Chris Chance. I said “Thanks I work for FedEx also” you must be new. We became instant friends and drove to DIA each night Steve in the 53′ footer and me in the 14′ Grumann. TRADING BARBS FROM ‘pULP fICTION’ over the radio as we drove to relive the boredom and keep entertainment first and foremost. Thanks to all the people who have contacted me just since last night when I discovered this news. RIP my brother and only friend. Cheers. Mike”D”
